The Blank Page

2010 has the possiblity to be the best year of your life.  Just remember to "accept the good."  this article was shared with me today and I had to share with others.  First allow me to acknowledge the author and copyright.  Copyright, 2009, by Daryl R. Some writers say that one of the most terrifying things for them is the "blank page" — the nothingness that greets them at the start of a project or article. Others relish the blank page — they see how it allows them possibilities, for with a blank page, anything is possible.

The start of a new year is like that blank page.

For some people, the dawn of a new year is fraught with anxieties — what will the year bring? Will it bring turmoil and calamity, financial ruin and physical pain?

For others, the dawn of a new year is like the dawn of a new day — a blank canvas of opportunity and challenge, untapped potential and unknown possibilities.

For both persons, the year itself is the same — the difference is the hope or the dread they assign to the possibilities awaiting them.

For this new year, make our outlook be full of hope and joy. For the new year, think of the possibility of growth and challenge.

Life is what you make of it — we are all given challenges in our lives, and no life is immune from pain or suffering. But each of us can decide how we greet the future that awaits us.

Never be terrified by the blank page that awaits you. Look at the blank page awaiting you as a chance to write a masterpiece.

Look at the year ahead as the opportunity to create a masterpiece of a year
